SHORT VERDICT

Choose the ENO Sub6 when a 5.8-ounce hammock body and tiny packed size matter more than lounging room. Skip it if you want a forgiving first overnight hammock, extra shoulder space, or an all-in-one shelter.

WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET

The Sub6 includes the 30D ripstop nylon hammock body, an attached stuff sack, Silverlite cord, and integrated aluminum toggles. Tree straps, carabiners, insulation, rain protection, and bug protection are not included.

THE COMFORT TRADE-OFF

At 9 feet long and 4 feet wide, the Sub6 is deliberately compact. That saves weight, but the shorter, narrower body gives you less room for a relaxed diagonal lay than a longer camping hammock. Taller sleepers and comfort-first beginners should compare roomier options.

SUSPENSION COMPATIBILITY

ENO designed the aluminum toggles to connect directly to Helios Ultralight straps. ENO also says the toggle system can accept added carabiners for Atlas straps. Inspect every connection and use wide, tree-friendly suspension; do not assume an unrelated strap system is compatible.

WEATHER AND INSULATION

The hammock body is not a complete sleep system. Add an underquilt or suitable pad for cool conditions, a tarp when rain is possible, and bug protection when conditions require it.
